Nice staff, well placed.
Small room looking into the other room's window in a halation. No minibar. Weak sound isolation, your sleep depends on your neighbour's willingness to close his door smoothly.

Le Robinet d'Or is a privately owned hotel managed by two sympatethic French gentleman. This hotel has been extensively renovated for 2 years and now it display a contemporary, clean, urban, parisian feel for those ones looking for a comfortable place to stay. Color palette is very soothing: shades of gray, teal blue, burgundy and nice textrures (wall paper, carpet, curtains) and brass lighting fixtures. Room 104 faces the corner of the building with two large French doors, very airy, open space and high ceilings. The room is relatively small but stilll charming and comforatble. It also has a cofffe/tea machine (Cafe Richard) with sachets of coffee and tea and two beautiful Limoges cups with saucers. Toileteries are French (made in Maquis) and of good quality. The shower and lavatory is excellent. I had several meals at the ground floor restaurant (very good food, steak bernaise, tiramisu, blue cheese hamburger). The receptionist Patricia and the owners really make you feel comfortable, at home and very welll educated people. Due to fact hotel is a historic building elevators are not allowed to be installed but hotel staff is proud of carrying your luggage to your room, tv set has plenty of channels (French and English- just hit the dv button in remote control).
Hotel does not has an available computer for guests (this is quite common in Europe) although they may provide you wifi. I did not bring computer but there is a totem with automated info for specific places and directions. The nights I stayed in Paris were relatively warm and hotel has no air conditioning (I opened French doors and cool air was enough to make comfortable). Pillows could be softer (minor issue).

Comfortable and stylish room. Some reviews say on the small side but we found it sufficient and the en suite very spacious, with room for dressing, luggage etc. Quiet at night and a brisk 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord. Picturesque canal a few metres away and several small bars and restaursnts nearby, clearly popular with locals. Staff very helpful - no lift but luggage was carried to our room by the manager. The hotel has a pleasant bar and bistro -we didn't eat there but cocktails were good.
